On November 2, the first stop of the 2024 Colorful Yunnan Gran Fondo Cycling Festival, Dehong Mangshi Station, was launched at Mangshi Square. More than 1,500 athletes from 24 countries and regions gathered in the charming border town of Dehong Mangshi. This is the second decade of the Colorful Yunnan Gran Fondo Cycling Festival. As the largest popular and international multi-day and multi-station cycling festival in the country, the 2024 Colorful Yunnan Gran Fondo Cycling Festival has attracted much attention, with a total of more than 7,500 participants in all five stations, setting a record high. A total of 1,501 athletes signed up for the first stop of the festival, Dehong Mangshi Station, including 1,291 long-distance athletes and 210 short-distance athletes.

As the host led all the athletes to shout the slogan "Long distance, great persistence", the atmosphere on the scene was pushed to a climax. As the first rays of sunshine in the morning illuminated Mangshi, the "City of Dawn", the 2024 Colorful Yunnan Granfondo Cycling Festival also opened.

The contestants set off from Mangshi Square, crossed many iconic places in Mangshi and its surrounding areas, such as Fapa Hot Springs and Alpine Tea Gardens, and finally arrived at the Dehong Jingpo International Munao Zongge Cultural Park to complete the race. The long-distance group track has a cumulative altitude increase of 1,500 meters on the 113-kilometer track.

Li Si, who won all the championship titles in the women's group last year, once again won the first place in the long-distance women's group with a score of 3 hours, 23 minutes and 5 seconds.

On November 3, the Baoshan Tengchong Station of the 2024 Colorful Yunnan Granfondo Cycling Festival was held. This is the second time that Granfondo has come to Tengchong after last year's Tengchong Challenge. Sister Ya also came to Tengchong again, and she is bound to win the championship!

In this Tengchong Station Festival, the contestants challenged the long-distance 113-kilometer track with an altitude increase of 2,000 meters, as well as the short-distance 50-kilometer track with an altitude increase of 700 meters. Along the way, it crosses the river and passes through the forest, connecting ancient villages, geological wonders, ancient town post stations, rural scenery, and the ancient Silk Road, forming a unique scene connecting cities and villages, nature and humanities, history and modernity.

According to statistics, this Baoshan Tengchong Station attracted a total of 1,487 cycling enthusiasts to sign up, including 1,261 long-distance athletes and 226 short-distance athletes.

At 9:30 a.m., the long-distance group of athletes took the lead in setting off from Wenzhi Guangchang Square. After fierce competition, Li Si, who won the yellow jersey in the first station, continued to perform steadily and won the long-distance women's group championship among thousands of people with a score of 3 hours, 43 minutes and 21 seconds.

After winning the championship in Dehong Mangshi Station, Li Si continued her excellent form in this station and won the long-distance women's championship with absolute advantage. She said happily after the game: "I didn't perform well in the Gran Fondo Tengchong Challenge last year. After a year of preparation, I finally defeated myself in today's game. Today's track passed through Dongshan Grassland. Although it was a climbing section and my body was very tired, I enjoyed the beautiful scenery in front of me very much. I hope to continue to perform stably in the following competitions and enjoy this year's Gran Fondo journey."

The climbing sections of the Mangshi and Tengchong stages of the Gran Fondo Cycling Race are very difficult.
